Humanoid unveils its new video set, designed for conversation

Wraparound armchairs, warm lighting, pale wood: our new set, in our Paris offices, was designed for one thing: getting people talking. It will host our media brands' upcoming series and is also open to advertisers.

A video set often looks like, well, a video set: a neutral backdrop, harsh spotlights and slightly stiff guests. We wanted the opposite, a place where you forget the cameras after three minutes.

A cosy atmosphere, almost a living room

The set is more living room than studio. Two armchairs with rounded lines face each other around a wooden coffee table, on a thick rug. All around are bookshelves filled with books, plants and vintage finds, a floor lamp and a sand-toned artwork. The warm, soft lighting creates an intimate atmosphere that puts guests at ease and gives the image real texture.

The set is tailored for formats that thrive on intimacy. In podcast mode, it offers two microphones, two armchairs and several camera angles to capture the conversation. For facecam, it provides a rich but never overwhelming backdrop that dresses the frame without stealing the spotlight from the person speaking.

The set will host new video formats for the group's media brands: long-form interviews, debates, explainers. A place designed for taking time, in contrast to the race for ever-shorter formats.

The set was conceived, designed and built by Clément Rouvier, set designer and interior designer. He worked on every detail, from the choice of materials to the arrangement of the shelves, so that the décor works as well to the naked eye as on screen, from every camera angle.

Available on a white-label basis

Like our brand content productions, the set is available on a white-label basis to advertisers who wish to shoot their own podcasts, interviews or videos there. To book it or devise a format with us, contact our sales teams.
