Numerama launches Numerama+, a premium membership that bucks the trend
Discover Numerama+, Numerama's premium membership: ad-free, AI-boosted, with exclusive newsletters.
The Humanoid group (Numerama, Frandroid, Madmoizelle) is proud to announce the launch of Numerama+, a significant evolution of our online media brand. This project marks an important milestone in our pursuit of excellence and innovation in news. Numerama+ embodies our commitment to keeping high-quality information free and open to all, while offering extra benefits to our loyal readers and to those discovering us for the first time.
Iterative and constantly improving, Numerama+ goes beyond the traditional idea of an online subscription, which often involves a paywall. With our offers, we are testing innovations in user experience and a viable alternative to advertising.
What is Numerama+?
Numerama+ is, first and foremost, our exclusive newsletter, Toujours Plus, written by editor-in-chief Marie Turcan with contributions from the newsroom. This newsletter offers relevant, balanced analysis of current events (the pluses, the minuses), a behind-the-scenes look at the newsroom, and a carefully curated selection of recommended reads.
Members also get access to AI summaries of our articles, carefully checked by our editorial team. Combining artificial intelligence with the ethics of our profession offers a new way of prioritising information that encourages attentive reading. Another major feature of Numerama+: no advertising, answering a long-standing request from our community. To take reading comfort even further, Numerama+ includes a Zen mode that removes all distractions from articles. Finally, membership gives access to a special Numerama+ theme, a personalised RSS feed and exclusive promotional offers. Two leading partners joined us for the launch: NordPass and Canal+.
How much does Numerama+ cost?
Cheaper than a subscription to Twitter or Facebook, without the fake news! We are launching a special “Founder Pack” offer for the first few months at €69.90 for a two-year subscription. The standard annual subscription costs €39.90 and the no-commitment monthly plan is €4.90 a month. A Numerama++ supporter offer comes with a VIP experience (and costs €1,000). Numerama+ can also be given as a gift.
